I watched the first two episodes then lost interest.

Syfy’s Sanctuary will not fly for a fifth season, it was announced on Monday — news that elicited a familiar refrain from series lead Amanda Tapping.
“‘Bloody hell’ indeed,” Dr. Magnus’ portrayer shared via Twitter, not long after the bad news broke. But prior to that, the actress gave kudos to the show’s passionate fans, saying, “We love and adore you. Thank you for the love and support. Now to the long dark tea time of my soul.”
In the months after Sanctuary‘s Season 4 finale aired in December 2011, little or no buzz surrounded its possible pick-up, leaving fans to fear-slash-prepare for the worst.
Other cast members weighed in on the news via Twitter, such as Robin Dunne (who played Will): “Thanks to our wonderful @SanctuarySeries fans for 4 years of love & support. You gave us a great life. See you on the next one. XO.”
Ryan Robbins, who played Henry Foss, wrote: “Truly overwhelmed by all the wonderful #Sanctuary messages. You guys continue to be full of awesomeness. #bestfansever,” while Robert Lawrenson (Declan) tweeted, “A huge thank you to the phenomenal Sanctuary fans, cast, crew & producers for a wonderful run. Look back with pride and forward with spirit.”

With my experience of the show I'm not surprised at the news. Some of the characters did grow on me, however.
I didn't really watch the show but am sad to see it go, mostly because I like Amanda Tapping. I really liked her in the Stargate franchise and was happy to see her starring in & producing a new genre series even though it didn't interest me. It's hard for actresses in her age range (not young & cutsey nor graying & matronly) to find good roles.
I watched the first two seasons and liked it well enough. I guess SyFy needed room for more wrestling and reality shows.
Never really got into beyond the second season. it was really uneven. when it was good it was very enjoyable when iit was bad it was painful
I wouldn't be surprised if Amanda Tapping show's up on another Syfy Channel show as a recurring character or as a regular.
I liked the first season, but season 2 began to be tedious to watch. I think I watched part of 3, but I recall deleting a lot of episodes when I gave up of this show. There were some great characters, but the episodes were very uneven as another poster said.
The show's been mostly hit or miss for me. Mostly miss. But sad for the fans of the show who watched it regularly.
