A "jumped up King Kong rip-off of a plot"...??? Umm...in what way? Just because it's in New York city? If that's the only connection, then I'd hardly say it's a rip-off, these two movies are extremely different.
I do enjoy Q though, it's not cinematic art, but it's entertaining!
Ray took me to see this movie on our second date. Our first date was Quest for Fire. LOL
This movie is somewhat distinguishing in that there are no sympathetic characters. All the humans were slimeballs and it made it easy to root for the monster to eat all of them.
