...apparently they needed a screamer...

Dakota Fanning may be in line to join the upcoming Twilight sequel for Summit Entertainment. E! Online reports that Fanning is in talks to play Jane in New Moon, which is a member of Italy's Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in author Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series.
The actress, who turns 15 next month, is also co-starring in Summit Entertainment's upcoming genre film Push. If true, she will be joining Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Production is set to roll for the sequel in hopes of getting it into theaters by next Thanksgiving. Director Chris Weitz is behind the camera for this installment, based on a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
Plot Summary: The second film in Summit Entertainment's "Twilight" film franchise, based on author Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series. In "New Moon," Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.
New Moon will hit theaters November 20, 2009.
Uh....okay.
I'd better read the damned thing before Jarrod lets slip any more spoilers about the book.
