This has been going on for a few days now and since it continues to roll forwards we figure it's about time to at least give these nutty folks some coveage

The "NUTS for Jericho " effort, via NutsOnline, is made up of "fans from all over the world are pooling their resources to send thousands of pounds of peanuts to CBS to protest the cancellation of Jericho. "  They have sent over  five tons of nuts, all boxed, to CBS in protest.  NutsOnline is helping out by pooling money together -- you can make online contributions -- and supplying discounted nuts.

Will it save the show or just provide CBS with a year supply of cocktail snacks? Stay tuned and see.

Thanks to Ben for the note.

Um... yeah, is this the best plan they could come up with? I liked the show, but it wasn't that great. I do think it was stupid of them for canceling it unless it was really losing a lot of money. Anything they put on to replace it will more than likely be really bad. I think another network should pick this show up before the actors and writers find other jobs. ... ....

Well, I suppose it is attracting attention...

Just peanuts, or any nuts (of my choice) I should send? Do (fresh-cut) bull's cojones count?

How fitting. That fits the story so well.

First, I really think this is idiotic, but that's just my idiotic opinion. Second, I think CBS could do alot of good by producing a 2-hour wrap-up episode. It would at least give us some satisfaction and closure. More importantly it may give viewers faith that if they watch a networks serialized show, they won't just leave us hanging. There is no doubt that viewers shy away from these shows for that very reason. If I'm going to commit to watching a show that may get yanked, it would at least be nice to know I will get some ending.

I watched this show up until the winter hiatus and possibly one or two episodes after it returned...but I gave up on it after that. It had so much potential, but it included too much drama with the characters (Infidelity, falling in love with the IRS agent that was sent to audit your farm, teenie-boppers falling in love, etc). If I wanted to see that crap I would have watched Desperate Housewives. This show should have been a mix between "Red Dawn" and the '83 made for TV movie "The Day After." Now that would have been effing good TV. But it wasn't and thats why it is was canceled. I say good riddance. I don't want closure, I just want the 12 or so hours of my life I committed to watching this show back.

Since CBS gas admitted the hiatus & move opposite Idol was their fault they owe us a 2nd season!

This might seem stupid to you but it can actually work. Fans sent in thousands of bottles of tobasco (or something like that, it was a long time ago now) when Roswell was cancelled, and the network changed their minds and renewed the show for two more seasons.
