By Rob M. Worley     February 27, 2002

CartoonistMichael Fry tells us that U.S. fans will have to keep waiting for Nelvana'sanimated version of his comic strip Committed. The show made its debut in Canada almost a year ago and enjoyed good ratings. However, the ABC Family Channel, who holds the U.S. broadcast rights, apparentlyhas no immediate plans to air the series.

Fry tells usthat, in addition to the Canadian release, the show has been seen in Portugal,Israel and French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa. Also, Nelvana recently sold theseries to Disney Germany.
