The tragic events of Paul Walker’s death are nothing new to Hollywood. There have been numerous films that were in production which their stars taken all too soon. At the time of Walker’s death Universal Studios was on holiday hiatus on production of Fast and the Furious 7. The cast was scheduled to return to Atlanta to resume production, now they are on hold until later this week.

Since the film was already on a quick shooting schedule, to meet the film’s July 2014 release date, “Insiders say a large part of the film had been shot, although in January, Walker and the rest of the Fast 7team were scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi to film additional scenes”.

Yet the Hollywood Reporter did learn that “The studio declined to comment on the future of Fast 7”.

Walker does have two other films waiting for release: a Hurricane Katrina drama Hours, due out in December, and Brick Mansions, now in postproduction. Brick Mansions, which is an English-language remake of the 2004 French action movie District B13

What do you think Maniacs? It really all does depend on how much of Walker’s footage was finished.

I do hope that they finish the film and that they can somehow give him a fairwell that is appropriate. I think it would also be good to put a plug in for his charities that he worked with either before the film starts or in the credits.

Sad to say, but this film will probably make "Dark Knight" type money, ala Ledger style.  Hopefully it ill be done with some class.

It sucks.  When we hear about someone dying of a drug overdose, we can at least understand the person wasn't happy, but when someone is by all accounts a happy nice guy, 40 is way too young.

The film is of no importance as far as the loss of Walker goes, but, if it is done with class in handling his death and the character, then it should be finished. I am not a F&F fan at all, but I also do not wish this kind of tragedy on anyone, especially Wlaker who was considered "one of the nice guys" of Hollywood.

As long as Sonny Chiba still is alive they should have him back in maybe a part 8 (without Paul Walker) since his character isn't redeemed or even arrested or killed. Maybe Tokyo Drift 2.

I just saw a clip of some paparASSi asking Vin Diesel about Fast7 production. Vin, was disgusted by the question and looked like he was contemplating bodily harm to the F.uck wad. I think media and studio execs should give family and friends (production team) time and space to mourn the sudden and tragic loss of Paul Walker. RIP
