I really thought they would go back to the WWII genre this time around.
While I am a huge fan of Black Ops (500 hours on PS3 and 1600 hrs logged on PC plus one of the clan officials for the top Tac Crouch clan in the world CiD), I am very disappointed that both developers for CoD have moved away from privately owned servers. They claim it is to control the hackers, yet BO2 has more hacks passing through their servers daily than our private BO server sees in a week. Obviously the real reason is so they can mass produce and pump out new titles every year without extending the longevity of their games. So sad that it is all about the $$$ but console kids will continue to fuel them and they will not change.
I am waiting on the next addition to Rainbow Six, although presales have been put on hold and I am slightly worried about that franchises future.
This game is silly, nonsensical, and campy...but you know what? If you group up with some friends and play through the game it is a lot of fun. They fixed some of the issues with the first one, yet they left some of the issues still in the game. Regardless, me and the guys had a lot of fun playing through the game, slashing and bashing zombies.
Holy $#@! I think the bar set by Star Trek has officially been destroyed!
I feel spoiled by just getting to enjoy all that is Hanso.
That out of the way...on to the most important topic...Alice Eve in her underwear. Discuss.
SPOILER
@alien, didnt Bones state earlier in the movie that he lacked the ability to "awaken" the others from their cryogenic state?
Star Trek holds a special place in my heart. In the early 80's, I was a young boy in the hospital dying of blood poisoning. I had to spend a lot of time there while they slowly healed me. I grew up outside of the city with only two basic television channels to choose from and had never seen the original series. One night, in the shared TV room, an amazing show was airing its syndicated episodes. The show was called Star Trek. I was captured...every night watching that hour of magical TV while my body healed. I have seen every episode, every movie and would honestly say that I am a huge fan.
I freaking loved this movie!!!
Honestly, it captured that sense of magic in me the TV series did those many years ago. Are there differences in the reboot that will make Trekkies cringe? Sure there are, but I really could care less about those differences because this movie transported me from my seat in a movie theatre back into a world that I fell in love with as a child...and honestly, isn't that what this is really supposed to be about?
I agree with Jedi. The reason DS9 was my favorite (next to the original) was that their villians were so great, and this list reflects that
Cant wait...For what it was, I enjoyed the first one. A few of the stories were really good.
I loved John Carpenter...although the last quarter felt rushed and heavily edited

Wow, I was expecting something lame and I was just blown away. This looks really awesome!
