While director Jon Favreau danced around some Iron Man questions posed by MTV's Josh Horowitz, he did reveal a few details about the upcoming adaptation of the comic superhero. One, the running time looks to be between 1:45:00-2:00:00 in length as he doesn't "think it should go much longer than two". He also revealed him doing a cameo, gave a loose answer that we should indeed expect our next trailer at the Super Bowl (Feb 3rd) and that this film is nearing full completion with only CGI work to finish up.

Plot Summary: Based upon Marvel's iconic Super Hero, "Iron Man" tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. Upon his return to America, Tony must come to terms with his past. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man.

Iron Man will hit theaters May 2, 2008.

I am almost looking as forward to this as the Hulk, I think Ironman is going to surprise a lot of people.

Hope this new trailer doesn't come with Ozzy Osbourne music.

I hope There is Ozzy Music ... Maybe some Crazy Train ..

I hope Iron Man fly's otherwise it will ruin everything for me.

dallaswinston, I don't know if you're joking, but the trailer already shows him flying. And I love the Ironman music playing in the trailer.
As for Favreau's cameo, how about him appearing as Foggy Nelson suing Stark's Ind. on behalf of some regular schmo. Keep tying the Marvel universe together.

I love it all. I was always a big fan of Marvel and the universe they created mainly because, most of their characters seemed more human than the DC ones so they were easier to relate with so I can't wait for more Hulk, Iron Man, Capt, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Punisher, and I'm hoping that they do Thor right. Now I know some of you will be bringing up Batman and, yes, he is a more human character than most of the DC, which is why he is my favorite from that universe and I praise Nolan for doing him justice. It's just that most of the DC characters seem too comical and factastical in their background and powers.
Anyways I believe you're right WISEGUY562 he does fly ... but wasn't there something awhile back when the trailer came out about it being clips that were shot JUST for promotional purposes? I might be mistaken.
I can't wait for the SUMMER!!!

No flying: A "reliable source" said that the flying shots were for promotional purposes, but Favreau came out and said that was false.

Favreau's cameo: It's in the trailer. He's one of Stark's bodyguards.

This movie loks like it will be awesome. But if there is really no flying that will be super LAME.

I know there will be though, Iron Man has to fly, it is one of the main functions of his suit.

Axia777 in the trailer we see him flying with some F-22 beside him...
It was entertaining to watch, but alas trawlers are designed to do that.
