Interesting to hear that this might be more drawn out then previously believed. I'm sure we'll be seeing Thanos in a more active role during Phase Two, but maybe as a puller of strings rather than a direct threat. Then I guess they bring him in for the finale of Phase Three with The Infinity Gauntlet? I can't help but wonder if it will be an Avengers movie, or a stand alone featuring the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, SHIELD and any other Marvel Movie Universe denizens which have been introduced at that point.
Hard to say, but always fun to speculate upon!
I think at the end of Cap 2 will be an after credits scene of ace fighter pilot Peter Quill chasing a UFO but the alien craft shoot's him down first. There's a flash of light and the pilot wakes up in a prison cell with a walking talking Raccoon. Fade to black.
I figured all along that he would just be a puppetmaster of sorts for phase 2. I would be willing to bet Mandrin is the main vilain for Avengers 2. Thanos helping him by giving him the rings or something. If they got Ben Kingsley to play him, I cant imagine it is just for one movie as a secondary type vilain. With no more Iron Man movies promised Avengers 2 seems like the best bet for him.
What happened to Ant-Man? I thought it was part of phase 2. Did that change?
Antman is the only one without a release date so I wouldn't be surprised if it's either been dropped completely or pushed back to phase three.
More than the Hulk, I'd love to have a She-Hulk TV show. Do it as an action comedy about the zany adventures of a 6ft.-plus green super-strong lawyer. Find some tall WWE wrestler who can act well. Have her Jennifer Walters alter-ego played by some well known 5ft. nothing actress who would only have to guest star in the pilot before she is transformed.

The take I'm getting from it is that it might not pay off with Thanos appearing as the main villain in Avengers 2 or GoTG. They intend to take it slow and have him appear now and then as the puppetmaster of evil events with others as his surrogates. Then at some point there will be a dramatic direct confrontation with the Death loving Titan.
