Kismet Entertainment Group is about to jump into the horror genre in a big way, and through a connection here at
Cinescape. Producer David E. Allen is launching a specialty arm called Graveyard Filmworks which will create new low-budget horror movies. And so what's Graveyard's first production to be? A spooky tale about kids trapped inside a haunted hospital on Halloween night called
BOO! -- and it's being directed by
Cinescape Editor-in-Chief Anthony C. Ferrante.
(And before you accuse me of pumping one of our own's horn, I found out about it just this morning via
The Hollywood Reporter.)
Indeed,
Fangoria's website landed the juicy exclusive
last October 29 including details on what kind of scary movie Ferrante wants to make, a "truly scary and terrifying film in an old-fashioned way, namely without the reliance of heavy CGI."
Graveyard has four other projects in development including the sequel to 2001's well-received
DOG SOLDIERS; a creature feature titled
CEMETERY GATES; and
SERVANT OF THE DARK, described as a cross between
SEVEN and
FALLEN.
