FF Race to NASCAR

This Memorial Day weekend, the "600" meets the "4" when the stars of the new motion picture FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER visit the race in search of the Silver Surfer.

Scheduled to appear at Lowe's Motor Speedway are the film's principal stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. The four stars will serve as honorary race officials and take part in various activities around the track prior to the main event.

"The NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 is one of the marquee NASCAR races, kicking off the summer, so it's only fitting that the cast of one of the largest movies of the summer should be in attendance," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. "It's fitting that two of the biggest events in the entertainment business are uniting here Memorial Day weekend in front of 180,000 race fans and a worldwide television audience. No doubt, the cast and this film are a perfect fit for the NASCAR fan base."

The Coca-Cola 600 will be broadcast live on Sunday, May 27, on FOX at 5 p.m. ET.
