Fiennes Playing RED DRAGON?

Ralph Fiennes is being sought after to take on the role of serial killer Francis Dollarhyde for the coming RED DRAGON remake.

According to Variety, director Brett Ratner will meet with Fiennes this week to discuss the actor taking on the film's crucial role, a serial killer who considers himself a "Red Dragon," though he's also labeled "The Tooth Fairy."

The trade reports that Sean Penn was also considered for the part.

The coming production will star Edward Norton, Emily Watson, Harvey Keitel, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Anthony Hopkins reprising his Hannibal Lecter role.
