As expected yesterday, the feature adaptation of MTV's popular series, JACKASS, won the box office crown. With Halloween looming around the corner, horror flicks THE RING and GHOST SHIP came in second and third, respectively.
Here's how the box office rounded up:
1. JACKASS: THE MOVIE, $22.8 million this weekend and since opening.
2. THE RING, $18.5 million this weekend, $39.4 million since opening.
3. GHOST SHIP, $11.5 million this weekend and since opening.
4. SWEET HOME ALABAMA, $6.5 million this weekend, $107.3 million since opening.
5. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, $6.2 million this weekend, $177.7 million since opening.
6. RED DRAGON, $4.7 million this weekend, $84.9 million since opening.
7. PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE, $3.3 million this weekend, $5.9 since opening.
8. THE TRANSPORTER, $2.81 million this weekend, $21.5 million since opening.
9. BROWN SUGAR, $2.78 million this weekend, $22.3 million since opening.
10. JONAH: A VEGGIETALES MOVIE, $2.75 million this weekend, $19.6 million since opening.
