Ah.  My guilty pleasure films, those in the Final Destination series, have taken the top spot.  This makes my sick little mind very happy.  Maybe now they'll reconsider the notion of this being the last one.

Inglorious Basterds was horrible.  It's 2.5 hrs long and there are perhaps 5 scenes in the whole thing.  It's 20 minutes of treading water with dialogue which accomplishes nothing, punctuated by some kind of violence that distracts you from realizing that you're watching crap.  Rinse.  Repeat.  At the end you feel like you've been violated.

I seriously think that Tarantino challenges himself to see how bad of a movie he can make, but then dress it up to trick people into liking it.  He knows that it's trendy to tell people that you like his movies, so he can get away with it.

Look at "Kill Bill" and "Death Proof", for both of these he openly stated that he was making a bad movie on purpose.  If you put "Pulp Fiction" in chronological order, the film has nothing to offer.  Aside from the violence in "Inglorious Basterds", nothing really happens.  If you take away whichever gimmick he announces he's going to use, his movies fall flat.

BO numbers are becoming so skewed.   I don't give FD any credit because how much of that BO income was from the 3-D side of it?  This is why Camerons movie is going to break all kinds of records, not because of the amount of tickets sold. There should be a seperate category for tickets sold vs. BO income to see how many people really are going to see the movie.

Dude mondeyfoot, you beat me to it. Disney buys marvel, how's that for monday news.

I saw Inglorious Basterds again this weekend and I thought it was great. People were laughing and cheering and they gave it a big round of applaus at the end. First time in awhile I've been to a movie where people got that into it. I thought it was great.

Not surprised that FD beat out Halloween 2.....after all, those FD movies are exactly what they should be and there's no expectation for them...JC's Halloween is still the Icon. So anything that's made referencing his material, unless done very good, is going to suck....
