SquareSoft has announced that the latest Final Fantasy game, FINAL FANTASY X, has sold 1.9 million copies since its release last week.
As of July 24th, 1.92 million copies had been sold out of the 2.14 million that had been shipped. 70% of the initial shipment were sold on the first day while a total of 90% sold in four days. These rates are similar to those of FINAL FANTASY VII, and FINAL FANTASY VIII.
SquareSoft and Sony Computer Entertainment have also agreed to increase the production rate of the game to meet demand.
FINAL FANTASY X will release in the United States next February.
