Final Weekend Box Office (Feb. 22-24)

By: Christopher Allan Smith

QUEEN OF THE DAMNED still rested atop the box office throne when all the final nickels and pennies were counted at the weekend box office. Aaliyah's final film took in almost $15 million, more than enough to push off JOHN Q from the top spot. Kevin Costner's supernatural foray made enough to slide into third place, while COLLATERAL DAMAGE fell 60 percent in its third week.

That's nothing, however, to how far ROLLERBALL tumbled. Only 17 days in release,

As for the rest, see for yourself.

1. QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, $14.7 million this weekend, $14.7 since opening.

2. JOHN Q, $12.5 million this weekend, $39.8 since opening.

3. DRAGONFLY, $10.2 million this weekend, $10.2 since opening.

4. RETURN TO NEVERLAND, $9.0 million this weekend, $27.7 since opening.

5. CROSSROADS, $7.0 million this weekend, $26.2 since opening.

6. BIG FAT LIAR, $6.3 million this weekend, $33.2 since opening.

7. A BEAUTIFUL MIND, $5.3 million this weekend, $132.7 million since opening.

8. HART'S WAR, $4.5 million this weekend, $15.0 million since opening.

9. SUPER TROOPERS, $3.9 million this weekend, $12.5 million since opening.

10. COLLATERAL DAMAGE, $3.8 million this weekend, $34.6 since opening.
