Final Weekend Box Office for October 18-20

As expected, THE RING sent enough chills down audiences spines to take first place at the box office over the weekend. However, ALABAMA, RED DRAGON and WEDDING are still forces to be reckoned with. The final numbers for the weekend broke the ties for THE TUXEDO and JONAH: A VEGGIE TALES MOVIE, but set up another tie between TRANSPORTER and ABANDON.
Here's how the weekend box office rounded out:
1. THE RING, $15.0 million this weekend and since opening.
2. SWEET HOME ALABAMA, $9.6 million this weekend, $98.5 million since opening.
3. RED DRAGON, $8.8 million this weekend, $77.8 million since opening.
4. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, $7.1 million this weekend, $169.3 million since opening.
5. BROWN SUGAR, $5.2 million this weekend, $18.5 million since opening.
6. ABANDON, $5.1 million this weekend and since opening.
6. THE TRANSPORTER, $5.1 million this weekend, $17.1 since opening.
8. THE TUXEDO, $4.1 million this weekend, $43.1 million since opening.
9. JONAH: A VEGGIE TALES MOVIE, $3.9 million this weekend, $16.0 million since opening.
10. TUCK EVERLASTING, $3.8 million this weekend, $10.6 million since opening.
