An announcement for a trailer next week? Really?
We still have seven months to go before Marvel Studios and Walt Disney unleash The Avengers into theaters but it looks like fans will see their first official footage next week. Well, at least for the fans who weren't available to attend the D23 expo and can't make it to next week's New York Comic Con panel. The two studios have announced that the first trailer for their superhero team effort will arrive online on Tuesday afternoon. When it pops up online, we'll pass it along to you.
The adventure which will help kick off next summer's slate of tentpoles will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson. Director Joss Whedon is helming from a screenplay he penned.
The Avengers flies into theaters May 4, 2012.

I really liked Thor, Cap, and the Incredible Hulk. Ironman I was a great movie. Ironman II I did not like for the most part. I supsect Avengers will be more like IM II. I hope I am wrong, but it just seems like its going to be too busy to really do anything substantial.
Joss Whedon wrote the screenplay? I guess it's good to work for such a new movie studio. WB, Fox or Sony would never allow a director with his limited experience have so much freedom. I find myself looking even more forward to The Avengers than before.

Hate to burst your bubble people ... but i watched "Real Steel" in Melbourne yesterday and the only preview trailer shown before the feature film was "The Avengers" Trailer which was shown in full. It was amazing ! So this rot about it premiering next Tuesday in public isn't exactly true ! It's being shown already in Australia !
