I was hopeful when I say the scene at the end of Captain America. Now I am officially excited. I had a total geekgasm watching this.

As promised late last week, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures has unleashed the first teaser trailer for The Avengers courtesy of Apple iTunes Trailers. Watch it down below or in HD Quicktime here and sound off with your opinions.
The adventure which will help kick off next summer's slate of tentpoles will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson. Director Joss Whedon is helming from a screenplay he penned.
Plot Concept: Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. huminah huminahh HUMINAHHH!!!!!! Somebody PLEASE tell me this movie is going to be 4.5 hours long!!
I am a pool of geeky-goo in my chair! And not just for the subject matter. It is also a well-done teaser. It builds interest from the start as to what is going on, reveals just enough to get you excited and leaves you wanting more. Just what a teaser should do.
Excuse me, I need a cigarette....

Love the glimpses of Loki too, he's a bad ass in this film for sure.
And I assume that was the quinjet on fire, nice
Every so often a trailer comes out that leaves me so utterly speechless, so completely floored that I don't think words can express how excited I am about that film. Yes, this was one of those trailers.
Holy. Frak.
'nuff said.
I just fainted...Now I know how those Twilight fans feel when they see Robert Pattinson...:)
Great to see the Hulk.
I was on a CBR forum and some were complaining about the dialogue. I don't think it's bad. It's very comicbookish and definitely RDJ is getting to improv Stark like he did for 1 and 2.
Just an odd thing i noticed. Why is the Paramount logo still there? I thought Disney bought them out going forward (for Iron Man 3 and Avengers). What's up with that?
