Looks like another beach babe is about to bite the dust in Lost Boys 2, judging from the first vampire photo released online over at Shock Til You Drop. The sequel to the 87 cult classic stars Tad Hilgenbrink, Autumn Reeser, Angus Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Jamison New Lander, Corey Haim, Tom Savini, Moneca Delain and Gabrielle Rose. It will hit the DVD shelves this summer courtesy of Warner Premiere.

Plot Summary: The sequel is set in the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson and his younger sister, Nicole. Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the locals' way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gang's lifeline before his sister's transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman). Subtle references to characters from the original film, and cameos from returning actors offer homage to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom.

Great, now we can work on finally getting part three to "Breakin'", so that the trillogy will finally be completed. They can call it "Breakin' 3: Return of the King of the Electric Boogaloo", or they could go in the other direction with the title "Breakin" Begins"!

Forget Breakin', I wanna see Crush Groove 2 or Rappin' 2 or Labyrinth 2.....oh no wait, I would like to see a sequal to Labyrinth, with a very naked Jennifer Connelly. It's about 47 minutes in. Ok, but remember, the did make a sequal to Dream A Little Dream,,,it involved magic sunglasses. So, don't put anything past Hollywood. I am actually curious to see what The Lost Boys 2 brings us. We all make fun, but we all know we will see it. Anyone born n the 70s loves the Lost Boys. You know you do. And everyone was hype on the Coreys. As a kid, we didn't know better.

The original is a classic from the 80s, but there's no way I'm going to but this DVD. I'm sure the movie will turn up on one of the pay cable channels that I subscribe to so I'll just wait. I really have no desire to see the Coreys in action again. jk...I'd love to see a XANADU 2! ;-). I know it was a crap movie, but I loved Xanadu. I liked the music (Olivia, ELO and the Tubes) and seeing Gene Kelly dance on screen, even though he was well past his prime, can never be a bad thing.

I apologize in advance for the bad pun but I can't resist. This is going to suck! Sorry. But seriously, what made the first Lost Boys good was that it had solid acting delivered by some pretty heavy talent. It also managed to tap into some kind of mid-80's zeitgeist by recreating the stale vampire movie for a younger, more modern MTV generation audience. This sequel seems to lack all of these elements and reeks of exploitation.

I still am not sure about this film. I was one of the people who craved a sequal....about TEN YEARS AGO!!! I will still check it out, but it would have been nice to bring back everyone and just do a theatrical release.....

LOST BOYS SWALLOWS seriously over rated. Jamie Gertz is much hotter in Still Standing. It wasnt very scary either. The fight at the end vs Ed Herman was good but so much was bland. Kiefer Sutherland rocks but he was much scarier in Stand By Me.His closeup while uttering "Tonight" was funnier than HOT ROD. And all the walking sam, frodo and gollum do ....oops sorry I mean Sam and the Frog brothers, yep thats it and no one even loses an ear ring. Oooh what suspense 4 punked out Duran Duran fans falling through fog to a safety net--scary stuff.
