Warner Bros. Pictures has officially revealed the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. While the final adventure will be split into two films, this first trailer touches upon scenes from both films. Watch the new trailer down below and check out some screenshots from the trailer here.

The film will feature an ensemble cast which includes Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Nighy, John Hurt, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Jason Isaacs, Miranda Richardson, Warwick Davis, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Brendan Gleeson, Ciaran Hinds, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Jamie Campbell Bower, Richard Griffiths, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Fiona Shaw, Helen McCrory, David O'Hara and Natalia Tena. Director David Yates is helming from a script by Steve Kloves.

Plot Concept: Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.

Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort... alive.

Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks.

Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became "the Boy Who Lived." No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will hit 3D/2D/IMAX theaters November 19, 2010.

sigh 3d again- I'll check it out but it will be a rental I  may buy a complete set somewhere down the road that has all the extras with it- you know like how the lord of the riings trilogy was done but otherwise It isn't a priority. I became a very big fan of the books but for some reason I couldn't keep interested with the movies.

Why do you live?

Because I have part 2 to live for!

It does look a great finale.  I'm also glad they went the route of splitting it up into two movies.  More adaptations should look at it as an option for keeping more of the book intact in the retelling.

 i can't wait for this!

Damn!  That gave me a semi.  Although I think they showed way too much in that first scene.  But boy did Ralph Fiennes deliver those lines perfectly.  Everything about this looks wicked.

Calibur, I can understand you not being interested in the films even though you are a fan of the books, but this one (or 2) looks to be an amazing adaptation of Deathly Hallows.  The films have been up and down but that could never stop me from checking the ending out in theaters.  And yeah it's 3D, but it will just be selected scenes if the past 2 films are any indication.  I'm probably biased, seeing as I've worked on the conversions of the last 2, but Imax does a really good job with the 3D.  I'll try and find out from my buddies that are working on it what exactly they are converting.  I'm kinda glad I'm not working on this one so I can finally go into the theater and watch it cold.

BTW, anyone notice the blood has been painted out from Hermione's hands when she's holding them out in that one scene?  Hope they aren't doing too much of that just to get a better rating.

I'm gonna have to watch parts 2-this

I too noticed the blood has been digitially removed from Hermione's hands. Perhaps the MPAA made them remove it just for the trailer? I can't remember their stand on blood in trailers.
