Columbia Pictures has officially revealed three new screenshots from Ghost Rider: Spirit of the Vengeance. Check them out below. The film will star Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth. Directing team Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor penned the screenplay and helmed.
Plot Concept: The story centers on Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son's body on the kid's birthday.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will ride into 3D/2D theaters February 17, 2012.
Okay two things right off the bat, how is he in GR form in broad daylight?
Second, is it me or does that bike look a lot less classy than the first GR bike? It is like he is slumming or not even trying now. Say what you will about the first one but the bike looked amazing.
I hope this doesn't suck but my Paris Hilton senses are tingling.
I just figured out the second picture, the guy is trying to get away from the movie, as fast as he can.
The final picture needs a caption. "What do you mean my hair still looks fake?"
Nic Cage rocks the role of Johnny Blaze and yes he is Elvis so bring it on =)
At least the fire looks more realistic this time around. I'm kinda digging the newer look of GR. Now, whether the movie has a good enough story is another question entirely.
I enjoyed the first part one besides some of the cheesy parts. Ghost Rider is just bad ass imo!
Suck it up. The first one was good, almost REALLY good. I have read GR for almost 15 years, and I LOVED it. I'm super stoked to see this one, and the pics look AMAZING. Let here all you snarky remarks to show how clever you are, but me... I'll be enjoying this one on opening weekend!
Wow Gauleyboy you are the only one i have ever heard say that Ghost Rider was a good movie.
The pics for this one do look promising though. I will reserve judgement until i see a trailer. Nic Cage is a shitty actor though, but we shall see. Everyone deserves a 20th chance, right?!
Sorry, I liked the bike from the first one better, CGI definately but the bike is supposed to look supernatural, not like someone covered it in gas and set it on fire. But I do like the darker, more evil look they are giving him. Closer to the comic image I would say, Hey here is an idea, get Wolvie, Hulk, GR, and Punisher together together, Marvel Knights anyone? That would be awesome move, all the gritty heroes and have a nasty dark side kind of hero film. Maybe instead if Hulk have Blade. Who knows. It would be awesome either way.
