1 on that statement.
The 1st Ghost Rider was a prime example of a studio treating a property like garbage. The only thing I liked about GR was GR himself. I liked his look and was pretty badass. Everything else sucked.
Not sure if you know but Sony rushed to make this movie before the rights reverted back to Marvel. The rights were supposed to go back November 2010. Sony had considered a reboot but was running out of time and just said "oh crap, we better shoot something, anything before we lose this."
Then it was bye bye GR rights.
Well at least Marvel has Punisher and Blade back. C'mon DD and FF! Come back to Marvel!

Gauleyboy, I've been a GR fan since the 70's. The movie was a turd. I take that back...once Cage and Mendes appeared the movie became a turd. The younger actors were academy award nominees compared to Cage and Mendes. Not to mention Cage is 30 years too old to play Blaze.
While I like Nelvedine and Taylor as directors, my dislike for Nic Cage's dumbass Elvis impersonation as GR makes this movie an almost guaranteed negative experience. I'll catch this one on DVD if I don't get a free screening pass. It's a shame, because GR is one of my favorite Marvel characters (as was Daredevil) and I can't watch these movies without cringing at how bad the main character actor plays the character.
