With their 3D release still a month away, Sony Pictures has launched the TV spot campaign for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. You can check out the first released spot down below. The comic sequel stars Nicolas Cage, Fergus Riordan, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth. Co-directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor led the direction, based on a screenplay by Scott M. Gimple, Seth Hoffman and David S. Goyer.

Plot Concept: In the successor to the worldwide hit "Ghost Rider," Johnny - still struggling with his curse as the devil's bounty hunter - is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciaran Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy - and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance rides into 3D/2D theaters on February 17, 2012.

I'll be having some of this. The first was ok but this looks good stuff!

The first one sucked.  So far this one looks way better, but I'll hold back on my judgment until I actually see the finished product.  The main problem I have is with Nic Cage.  Dude just sucks.  It seems like he plays the same character in every movie he's in.  He needs to take acting lessons or something.  SOMETHING!

It's too bad the same production crew didn't do the first one..would have been a better movie

This one definitely looks better than the first.... but then again, nearly every movie release before or since the first one was better than the first. That movie was atrocious.

I'm just not seeing this.  The first movie wasn't great, but it still looks better to me than this one does.  I hope I'm wrong and this is a great movie, but I don't think I'm going to bother with this one until released on DVD/BluRay.

It looks better, but it's still PG-13.  I know the MPAA is more leinent when it comes to non-human violence, but it's still a concern.  Here's hoping the movie lives up to the trailer.

I'm not sure I totally agree with your judgement on Nic Cage overall, VTGamehendge, I honestly thought he well deserved the Oscar he won for Leaving Las Vegas...I think he can be REALLY good in dramas and quirky movies (such as City of Angels, Adaptation and The Weather Man...I also really liked Matchstick Men), but I think he totally sucks in action roles.  He is the same guy in everything.  Him sounding like himself was my main motivation to not see Season of the Witch...sorry Nic, can't buy you as a medieval knight!
