First Glimpse at New WOLVERINE

And that first glimpse, courtesy of USA Today, looks exactly like the old Wolverine we've seen from the X-Men films. White tank-top? Check. Claws? Check. Angry expression? Check. While revealing the new promo pic for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the star Hugh Jackman also reinforces earlier reports that this origin tale will have plenty of other mutants within the next tale.

The film will trace Wolverine's past as he discovers the world of mutants and, ultimately, the ominous Weapon X program, which turns people into living weapons.

Jackman is tight-lipped on plot details, though he says the film will hardly be a one-mutant story.

Wolverine's nemesis Sabretooth "is going to play a big part in it. And there will be a good bit of cameos" of new and familiar mutants, he says. "But you can't give too much away, because fans are pretty hard-core. Their expectations go up a level every time you come out with a new film."

X-Men Origins: Wolverine will hit theaters May 1, 2009.

That is one tall Wolverine right there.

it looks like jackman finally muscled up instead of just getting into shape, it appears he actually put on some real pounds of muscle this time. which is a plus for me, now if we could just get a pic of him wearing a mask i can start getting a little excited.

He's almost as bad-ass Canadian as I am. Almost.
Looking forward to this one...I also hope that Magneto Origins film gets off the ground.

Let me set the record straight ... Wolverine denies all rumors that he has ever used HGH.

it was my favorite hero in comics world, i am quiet happy with jackman interpretation, a bit toll, the original is a small guy, whatever for me he s the best cast.

1 jackman as wolferine
2 sir Ian McKellen as magneto
3 Rebecca Romijn as mystique
4 Patrick Stewart as prof xavier
5 Tyler Mane as sabertooth
6 Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler
7Aaron Stanford as pyro
8 Willem Dafoe as the goblin
9 Alfred Molina as doc octavius
10 Michael Chiklis as the thing
11 Thomas Haden Church as sandman

and of course Ron Perlman for hellboy, i don t have to mention hulk, dardevil ghost rider and other mutant, i don t talk about good actor or not, i just mention the best casting according to the comics....anyone ?

Looks like the claws are slightly longer and I hear that Congress wants to talk to Jackman to see if there's any truth if Brian Macamee injected him or seen injecting Will Smith.

First off I don't see where you get he is tall in that picture and secondly that is a picture that is obviously air brushed so what makes you think he is that buff? Anyways, looks cool...

i mean hugh jackman is tall, the hero from the comics is a small guy. disproportion, we have plenty, the thing should be a lot bigger, the hulk is not so big, red richard must be older, magneto is not so old.......

actually they saw Wolverines nanny at a pool party at Canseco's I mean Sabertooths and wondered what she was doing there if he wasnt suppose to be at that pool party at al...jokes aside, love the pic..his claws do look a bit longer..cant wait f0r this movie...

The pic does look cool. Yes we have already established that Jackman is much taller than the comic book Wolverine. Can we move on. That has been a bone of contention since the 1st X-Men movie. Who cares. He plays a great Logan. Well, that is as long as he isn`t pining and acting like bitch for Jean Grey every 5 seconds.
The one thing I want to know is. Are we going to see some bone claws? If its his origin story we should at least get to see hiim pre-Adamantium.
