Actually, this looks better than I thought. You got to love the foosball sequence.

20th Century Fox has revealed the first teaser trailer for Jack Black's next family-friendly adventure Gulliver's Travels, a contemporary re-imagining of the classic tale. Set to hit both 3D and 2D theaters this Christmas season, the film stars Black, Emily Blunt, Jason Segel, Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, James Gorden, Catherine Tate and Chris O'Dowd. Director Rob Letterman led the production from a script by Joe Stillman and Nicholas Stoller.

Plot Concept: Black stars as Gulliver, a big–talking mailroom clerk who, after he's mistakenly assigned a travel piece on the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of very tiny people. At first enslaved by the diminutive and industrious Liliputians, and later declared their hero, Gulliver comes to learn that it's how big you are on the inside that counts.
Gulliver's Travels will hit 3D/2D theaters December 22, 2010.
Actually, this looks better than I thought. You got to love the foosball sequence.
I was thinking the same thing krathwardroid the foosball sequence looks good I just wonder if he'll go to the other island full of giants or if they'll put that in for the inevitable sequal
So Jack Black again playing the same character he plays in every single damn movie he has ever made.
This guy is perfect for anyone with a kid with adhd, cause his idea of funny is running around and screaming like an idiot and if you try to top him he'll just scream louder and run around faster with disheveled hair
I may check it out :) unless I'm catching multiple viewings of TRON, which is a very likely possibility
Big f'ing pass for me. The only Gulliver worth watching is the Ted Danson TV miniseries from '96. Although I wish they would have kept Swifts ending from the novel.
Man. This actually looked worse than I thought it would. Then again, I'm not a huge Black fan. I can take him in small doses, but he's just not leading man material for me. Too annoying.
The original tale was biting political satire thinly veiled by story. I'm guessing this movie will just be a thin story.
WOW really??? i mean REALLY??? This is what you spent millions to make??? lol this looks retarded, they could've @ least let Zach "The Beard" Galifinakis (from The Hangover) play Gulliver, would've given the role a little more comedic credibility...
Black is hardly a one-dimensional actor Wise, I've seen him in all kinds of rolls (for drama see The Jackal, Enemy of the State, King Kong). Now if you really want truly one-dimensional, same moronic character every movie, actors go see Will Farrell. That guy makes Steven Seagal look like Al Pacino!
I loved Black in School of Rock. Didn't watch this trailer. Love the story, read the book, not sure what this oen is about, but wouldn't load for me. If it is a comedy I won't bother.
Should be a good one time throw away viewing.
