JFX Online has become the first site to publish production photos of the upcoming STAR TREK film, publishing the first look of Zachary Quinto dressed up as Spock. The site also published a slew of other photos in regards to a scene involving Spock and other Vulcans. The next film stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Eric Bana, Leonard Nimoy, Winona Ryder, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana and Rachel Nichols. JJ Abrams has also confirmed the casting of Jennifer Morrison ("House"). Production began this month and the film is scheduled to hit theaters next Christmas for Paramount.

That's almost creepily good. Personally, I'd say he looks more like a young Mark Lenard than anything else, but that's much better than they could have done otherwise, and certainly close enough.

His face looks too big. Quinto looks like Herman Monster playing Spock. Somebody like Jonathan Reese Meyers should have played Spock. The bad casting is laughable.

Again, you guys are absolutely ridiculous! How the hell does he not look like Spock? He`s a different person, so its not going to be exact. You can bitch and moan about the casting all you want but since you aren`t the casting director or anyone with power at least concering this particular movie, get over it. I guarantee when it comes you will still go and see it, if for nothing else, just so you can come back here and tell everyone how bad it was and that you were right.
And exfan, if I put on pointy ears and had that haircut, I`d look nothing like Spock. I`d look like a Vulcan.

pony's right guys... I was actually very surprised at how much the guy looked like Nimoy, I was sure once I scrolled down that I would read comments reflecting that opinion... but guess I was wrong. I know we all have our own ideas and the right to post them, but come on, this is like Jarrod posting a story about the color blue with a picture of it and half of you saying that it's green. His face looks too big, I literally sprayed my Count Chocula when I read that... thanks again for the laughs metalwater.

That could easily be Jason Alexander from Seinfeld with a "bowl hair cut" wig on. This is Spock back in the early years when he was fat.

Hmmm, pony is correct. Some comments here are just ridiculous. They got the young Spock look to the T! Stll not sure about all the other stuff going on with this movie, but at least Sylar looks good in it.

He looks just like the version of Young Spock from Start Trek III. True fans will see that.

Or did you all bitch and moan over that scene too? Blah blah he doesn't look like Spock.
