With the film set to arrive in theaters at the beginning of October, Overture Films has revealed the first clip online for Matt Reeve's Let Me In. Check it out below. The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins, Elias Koteas, Cara Buono and Sasha Barrese. His first project since the Cloverfield experience, Matt wrote the screenplay and directed.

Plot Concept: "Let Me In" tells a terrifying tale about an alienated 12-year old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins). A frail, troubled child about Owen's age, Abby emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements. Recognizing a fellow outcast, Owen opens up to her and before long, the two have formed a unique bond.

Let Me In hits theaters October 1, 2010.

I bought the original's dvd and fell asleep trying to watch it some months back, I was tired so not saying that it was boring only that it helped put me to sleep. Anyway I think now I may skip it til I see the American version which looks pretty damn good IMO.

I hate the fact that they've decided to leave out the part where Owen finds out his new girlfriend is really a he and not a she. Leave it to American movie makers to pussify a great movie twist. End of rant.

lincc276...sell your crap some other place...idiot.

That told me absolutely nothing about the movie. Crap scene to show if you're trying to raise a buzz for the film.

This scene doesn't tell me anything at all. Not a great scene to show if you're trying to build buzz on a movie.

Let The Right One In was a great work.  I don't hold high hopes for the new version.  Hollywood can't make good subtle movies anymore.  they have to be all action and eye candy.  that is why I also fear for the new version of The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo.

HunterRose, I think you are mistaken.  Eli is revealed to be without a sex, neither male nor female.

At least in the Swedish movie...

I haven't read the book.

Castbroad, what is shown in the movie is a castrated boy who is living life as a girl. The book explains it further. Another subject that will probably be changed is the fact that Eli's daywalker is a pedophile.
