I like what this director does with visuals and action pieces, so I'll be there for the eye candy alone.

After revealing numerous screenshots of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter these past two weeks, 20th Century Fox has revealed their first teaser trailer courtesy of TIME. Check it out below and sound off with your thoughts. The supernatural horror tale stars Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy and Alan Tudyk. Helmer Timur Bekmambetov led from the director's chair, based on a screenplay by original author Grahame-Smith.
Plot Concept: Indiana, 1818. Moonlight falls through the dense woods that surround a one-room cabin, where a nine-year-old Abraham Lincoln kneels at his suffering mother's bedside. She's been stricken with something the old-timers call "Milk Sickness."
"My baby boy..." she whispers before dying.
Only later will the grieving Abe learn that his mother's fatal affliction was actually the work of a vampire.
When the truth becomes known to young Lincoln, he writes in his journal, "henceforth my life shall be one of rigorous study and devotion. I shall become a master of mind and body. And this mastery shall have but one purpose..." Gifted with his legendary height, strength, and skill with an ax, Abe sets out on a path of vengeance that will lead him all the way to the White House.
While Abraham Lincoln is widely lauded for saving a Union and freeing millions of slaves, his valiant fight against the forces of the undead has remained in the shadows for hundreds of years. That is, until Seth Grahame-Smith stumbled upon The Secret Journal of Abraham Lincoln, and became the first living person to lay eyes on it in more than 140 years.
Using the journal as his guide and writing in the grand biographical style of Doris Kearns Goodwin and David McCullough, Seth has reconstructed the true life story of our greatest president for the first time-all while revealing the hidden history behind the Civil War and uncovering the role vampires played in the birth, growth, and near-death of our nation.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will chop up theaters on June 22, 2012.

What is this movie gonna do to the serious-toned Lincoln movie w/ Daniel-Day -Lewis??
I can see Lewis and the producers watching this trailer and thinking... "Great..... just effing great........" *slaps foreheads*
I have always liked Timur Bekmambetov's flare for visuals in all his films he has shown great imagination even if I wasn't a big fan of the films themselves. And this here looks like great eye candy and kick ass action. I remember someone saying that some of the action is reminiscent of The Matrix films and after that I must say yeah. This has moved up in my anticipation list after that trailer
Dude I am so pumped to see this, even if Seth took some liberties with his own book. But I am going to be there on opening night.
I didn't know whether to laugh or go wow with the action. Just seeing my fav president doing Matrix moves and attacking vampires. It does look cool, just have to wrap my mind around Mr. Lincoln being the character.
Sad. Just sad.
I fell asleep last night as my girlfriend read Vladimir Nabokov. It made me realize I'm better than most books and movies I haved committed. This is one that I will not.
What a sad piece of s*@t. Have fun with it.
@ InnerSanctum. Wow. Way to channel Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.
I love the way it all came together in the book. The story flew along, and had many action scenes moving it at a good clip. It was descriptive enough to picture some of the scenes, and some were pretty gory.
The movie should be great fun if it doesn't stray too far from the source. I liked the original twist put to an amazing person to flesh out a story, instead of the vampire of the day story. Can't wait to see how this one pans out.
I saw action and that's it. Where the hell is the plot in trailers anymore. Action alone does not sell me anymore. It looks cool, but I'll just rent it unless they sell the story more. That said I like visual movies. I enjoyed Sucker Punch and 300, but i enjoyed their stories.
Real Men wear stove-pipe hats!
Alright, I'm sold. This looks like it's gonna be fun
