When I saw the pile of gold when I was watching the movie, I immediately thought of Scrooge McDuck's vault. :)
The official Facebook page for The Hobbit released this image from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I believe I have seen this image before. Nonetheless, I wanted to know how many of Maniacs had seen it before and will see you the first movie again this holiday weekend?

There's a Youtube video some fan made, with scenes from the Hobbit, that feature scenes from the next movies. I think there's some image like this in there.

I am sure I have seen this picture already. Travelling to Calgary today and I will be seeing this in 48 FPS tomorrow, I have been holding off all week, it's been hell ;)
Smaug will sound like the elusive villian of Star Trek :Into Darkness. Benedict Cumberbatch is voicing Smaug.
That's a lot of GOLD. I didn't think they'd get this far in the second movie. Figured they'd only get to Lake Town.
