First Look at REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA

New clips of a new horror rock musical was played for the Spike TV Scream Award audience last night. I'm pretty sure we have some ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW fans around even if they may not admit to it. Well, a new musical in the same vein but a bit more twisted (from the production company Twisted Pictures) is coming next April. The film called REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA is being directed by Darren Bousman. It stars Sarah Brightman, Anthony Head, Paris Hilton, Bill Moseley, Paul Sorvino, Alexa Vega and Kevin Ogilvie.

Plot Concept: Centers on an epidemic of organ failures that devastates the planet, killing tens of millions. As scientists feverishly make plans for a massive organ harvest program, a multi-billion dollar biotech company called GeneCo begins to manufacture salvation -- for a price -- offering simple payment plans to those lacking the necessary funds to purchase new body parts outright. But all financed organs are subject to default procedures, including repossession at the hand of the notorious organ repo men.

Sarah Brightman's got some chops... but so far from what i've seen, and more importantly heard, this is going to bomb. To make a musical work, you need good music. Rocky Horror worked because, beyond the camp, the operatic rock music was well done.

They should have dumped the musical elements of this production, and they may have had a chance of the movie being a huge hit...that, and the Paris Hilton casting was a major mistake. I won't give her a dime of my money at the theatre, or on DVD, just on principle alone!!!

With Anthony Head on board, and singing, I have to see it. He played Dr. Frank N Furter in many stage productions of Rocky Horror, coincidentally. The man can sing. I'll just wait for Paris Hilton to be horribly killed.

I will check this out strictly because Anthony Head, aka Rupert Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is in it! He can sing as well as act. check out the musical Buffy Ep if ya don't believe me! Don't care that Paris is in it, I will give most anything a chance instead of condemning it off the bat...

The only screen time Paris should get is giving blowjobs, damn that was a good video. It is also the only good movie she's ever been in. Obviously her talent is reserved for night vision and spending her Mommy and Daddy's $$$.
I would like to point out that this plot seems losely based on a Monty Python skit from the movie "The Meaning of Life" where thay have organ harvesters come to get organs from organ donors before they die. An awesome skit. This movie looks like something that rhymes with skit.

I completely disagree. She sucked at giving head.... and I don't mean that as a pun.
