i kinda agree some of this looks too animecartoonish for my taste hopefully this is just concept art and no the real thing. the origional liona looked much better than this- I also want to mention that snarf and the kids are not in here as well

Bleeding Cool has managed to acquire a snapshot taken at the London Toy Fair that shows off an image from the upcoming 2011 series for Thundercats that will be coming from Cartoon Network this year. The series is being animated by anime studio Studio 4°C which is known for their work on the Animatrix and Gotham Knights. the new series has some known talent behind it with am Register handling the exec producer duties while Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding are producers.
According to what little is known via Wikipedia, "The show has been hinted at explaining Lion-O's climb to the throne with a more original anime feel and darker style.[17] In early November 2010, former Lion-O voice actor Larry Kenney revealed that he would be playing the role of Lion-O and Tygra's father Claudius in the opening three-part episode of the new series."

It indeed looks very anime-like but I think I'm in love with it. I have no idea why but it manages to attract me just like the old series' images did. Really looking forward to it, my mates here in Manchester are very excited about these pics too.
Kind of looks like old style...have to wait and see.
I just figured out Man of Action is doing Spider-man, Ben-10 stuff, not sure what I think of that yet. Should just be CGI like MTV stuff.
im very happy with the look and feel of the characters , cant wait to see it in action
I like the look of Tigra and Chetara. Not digging Lion-O or Panthro though. The mutton chops plus how tiny his weapons are in the cinderblocks that pass for his hands? He looks more like he should be Slithee or one of the other Mutants. And I would guess this is an early in the show shot given a lack of the Thundercats symbol present on the belts.
