I just noticed King's new plot for his book that continues the story of The Shining sounds an awful like Neil Gaiman's Stardust. Old people who can live forever by feeding off the "the shine". Anyway, this is simply a remake that I'm not pumped about. I can't really see anything new being brought to the table and Carrie. King has about a hundred plus books out there that would be more worthy.
Meh, no thanks. The original works great, and Spacek was fantastic. No need for a remake.
Okay - I don't get it. Are we supposed to complain when remakes are too close to the originals or when they deviate too far?
Also, how much different can a bucket of blood dumped on somebody look? Let alone somebody in a plain nightgown?
it's not about that there is no need for a remake of Carrie, it's almost finished filming. and i think the pics look dead on, it's not in the time line of the 70's . it's a modern take on carrie. i know i will be going to watch this when it comes out. as far as remakes go this is one im interested in . oh and Mad Max F.R..and Robocop, Red Dawn, and Toxic Avenger, Man of Steel, videodrome, Dredd, Jumanji, the howling, jack ryan, monster squad, national lampoon's Vacation, Nikita, pet semetary, porky's, the shadow, short circuit, spawn, TMNT, the warriors, westworld, , the Evil Dead, Akira, the black hole, the brood, death wish, Dune, Escape from NY, flash gordon, flight of the navigator, F/X, Highlander, Battle Star Galactica, Scar face, GODZILLA, Excalibur, Frankenstein, Mortal Kombat, Ghost in the shell, Battle Beyond the Stars, American Werewolf in Paris, Near Dark, Plan 9 from outer space, Poltergeist, Re-Animator 3D, Return of the living dead, just to name a feew..
