Set to hit theaters this weekend before 3-D showings of A Christmas Carol, Walt Disney Pictures has unleashed the first theatrical trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. You can check it out the video player below courtesy of IGN Movies. Based on the best-selling video game franchise, the fantasy adventure will star Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Toby Kebbell, Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina. Director Mike Newell helmed the Bruckheimer production from a story by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard.
Plot Concept: Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will hit theaters May 28, 2010.

I'll be going to this for sure. Looks like fun. Plus dang she looks so much better as a brunette than as a red head. Wow she's hot.
As for the tan, they aren't all that dark guys get over it. Some are some aren't.
Almost, you are right about Gemma Artertom. She looks much better as a brunette.I never thought that she was that attractive but looking at her in the trailer I'll have to change my mind. She is all over the place these days too. She's also in Clash of the Titans
Was is it with Ben Kingsley? Did he just do so many serious roles when eh was younger that now all he does is play evil wizard type villains? Either that or he is getting seriously typecast.
Trailer looks good. It has that humor adventure thing that Pirates of the Carribean had. They could have at least used a full bottle of spray tan. Yes, some middle eastern people aren't as dark as others. But apparently they all speak the Queen's English.
Looks nice. I liked the effect of the Prince using the dagger, it looks straight from the game PoP: The Two Thrones.
I thought they would have him moving around more in parkour style. The trailer shows some cool Prince like moves though.
I had read a review awhile back that didn't sound like the movie was all that awesome but hopefully they are fixing it cause one of these damn movies has to deliver and be a hit so those fu.cktards in Hollywood start taking these movies seriously. God of War must own!! Kratos bitches, Kraaaaaaaaaaaaaaatos!!!
Speaking of God of War,the Distric 9 Blu Ray will have the God of War 3 demo. Of course you can also get the demo with the God of War collection that drops Nov 17.

I'm a little confused why they bothered getting an American actor to play a Persian character if they were going to make him speak with an English accent. Who wrote the rule that all Middle Eastern/Eastern characters played by Western actors must speak with English accents?
Doesnt look that bad. Definitely reminds me of the video game. But could they at the very least given this "Persian" a darker tan?? haha
