Some first looks have appeared for Ben Stiller's upcoming Tropic Thunder and Kevin Smith's Zack & Miri Make a Porno. While both of these films may be straight forward comedies, they both have a touch of genre inside them. Thunder will spoof the war classic Apocalypse Now and prima dona actors under the direction of Ben Stiller while Porno takes on porn, financial uncertainty and general nerdy behavior that only Kevin Smith and Seth Rogen can bring to the table. USA Today and Entertainment Weekly featured the first looks to both films which you can see below.

Tropic Thunder Plot: Ben Stiller says "Tropic Thunder" is a "a comedy about five actors who go on location and find themselves relying on their boot camp experiences when they get stuck in a real war-like situation." Black will play Jeff "Fats" Portnoy, an overweight gross-out comedian, who's forced to kick his drug addiction while filming on location in the jungle. Downey Jr. will play Kirk Lazarus, the greatest actor of his generation and a four-time Oscar winner. Baruchel will play Kevin Sandusky, an unknown actor on the set and Stiller plays Speedman.
Tropic Thunder will hit theaters August 15, 2008.

Porno Plot: Zack and Miri are two lifelong friends who are deep in debt and enlist the help of their friends to make a porno movie for some quick cash. But as everybody starts "doing" everybody, Zack and Miri realize that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.
Zack & Miri Make a Porno is under TBA release status.
