And I didn't think this was going to be a comedy, but after watching that I guess I was wrong.

The first teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds has officially appeared online. The trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. You can check it out here.
The film features an ensemble cast including Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sonke Mohring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet, Cloris Leachman, Maggie Cheung and Samuel L. Jackson. Tarantino penned the screenplay and directed for Universal Pictures and The Weinstein Company.
Plot Summary: "Inglourious Basterds" begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.
Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own.
Inglourious Basterds will hit theaters August 21, 2009.
And I didn't think this was going to be a comedy, but after watching that I guess I was wrong.
It's spelled wrong on purpose by Quentin and producers, Almost. Some websites are putting (sic) after the title so we don't get emailed on it. I should start doing it.
It was "Inglorious Bastards"...Then they switched it to "Inglourious Basterds" for their own reasoning.
Almost lol I thought the same thing when I watched that trailer, they should spell it BasTURDS cause what I witnessed reminded me of that Turd I flushed down the toiler earlier today...
Perhaps they Misspelled it because there was an Italian film in the 70's called Inglorious BastArds??? Avoiding a lawsuit maybe?
And I tried viewing the clip at 6:23 am EST and it was down. Tried to unsuccessfully find it on youtube. Anyone have it somewhere else?
I liked it better when it was called The Expendables.
BTW, Jarrod where is the link that WB is in negotiations with Martin Campbell to direct Green Lantern?
I'm too late, the vidoe was taken down.
lol, mla. Did it look that bad. I like pretty much everything Tarantino has directed so I'll definitely be there.
I hope it isn't a comedy...that threw me off. WTF....maybe they should put together a better trailer....it certainly didn't leave me with that warm and fuzzy feeling.
I thought it looked alright. Didn't blow me away, but it's Tarantino, so that alone will get my butt in the seat.
Isn't it spelled BASTARDS?
