If you're planning on watching The Dark Knight in a few days, you'll be seeing the first teaser for Terminator Salvation in theaters. But Warner Bros. has already released the official clip online in a game of beating boot leggers. Plot Concept:
In the film, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 22, 2009.

Sweet. Kinda herky-jerky and no terminators, but still...sweet.

It's already my second most anticipated film of 09. Nothing like that music to get your blood pumping.

I really found the static distracting. I get that Connor's voiceover was supposed to be like a broken radio transmission, but I felt like the interruptions were almost working too hard to hide the images. I mean, all I could really discern were images of a building blowing the hell up, Connor holding a torch, and a Terminator rising up from behind Connor (great image, by the way). Gotta say though, I'm glad they kept the title as just "Terminator Salvation." And the new tagline "The End Begins" is a LOT better than "The Future Begins." And yes, it's amazing how a few hard drum beats drive the point home to the audience that this IS a Terminator film.

Okay. My only real complaints with the Terminator films (3 has grown on me) & Show have been that all this time travel seems like a convenient excuse to throw away continuity gaffes. I know that I’m an optimistic dreamer but this trailer makes me think that the jokes on us. The reason we haven’t seen The Future in anything but flashbacks so far is that this ain’t about the rise of the machines and humanity’s comeback. It’s about the repercussions of Time Travel. I may be kidding myself but this ain’t John Connor’s daddy’s future.

lol, yo I was out a few days saw Flint & goatartist holding it down, not letting u guys forget what's going down soon so let me remind u inncase you guys missed what they was talkin about: The only good thing about this article is that it mentions the greatest cinematic masterpiece ever created in the history of the world, nay the universe son! aka The Dark Knight which is only 1 1/2 day away of kicking every single person's ass when they finally lay eyes on the most anticipated, oscar buzzing, talked about, awe inspiring, hope bringing, life saving and world changing film ever!!! At 152 mins it's going to be EPIC, Legendary, a new word will be created after the film release just so they can describe it's greatness. You've lived in the times of Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer/Rafael Nadal, Wayne Gretzky etc. On 7/18/08 you will witness the cinematic equivalent of those greats when you have the opportunity, no, the honor & privelege of seeing for the first time Nolan's masterpiece, The Dark Knight.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />LOL! Now for this trailer, it's nice, the music like Wiseguy mentioned, is what really works. It got me excited, I won't lie. Still on the fence with this flick, gonna need to see more.<BR itxtvisited="1" />Does anyone know if they will have a teaser for Harry Potter also when DK opens up?<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />This would've been my teaser trailer for Terminator:<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />John Connor: "I knew the terminators wouldn't go down without a fight but this is different, they've crossed the line."<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />Marcus Wright: "You've crossed the line first sir, you handled them and in their desperation they turned to an artificial intelligence they didn't fully understand. Some AI arent looking for anything logical, they can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some AI just want to watch the world burn."<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />Skynet: "Starting tonight, a nuclear holocaust will make humanity die, i'm an AI of my word,........ hahahahaha." <BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />Oh hell yea, it's coming for you soon, 7/18 son!!<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />

Hanso: Y'know what, son? Terminator Salvation is gonna be off the hook, son. Something else, son... we get it that Dark Knight is gonna rock, son. We have eyes and ears, son. Something else, son? Your overuse of the word son in every post, son. Real annoying and stereotypical, son. Or as they say... CLEE-SHAY!!!!!!! Son...

Mellowdoux - Couldn't have said it better myself, Dark Knight is gonna rock, son! Eyes & Ears won't do though, you need to smell, taste & touch the Dark Knight. It's going to be sensory overload on 7/18/08
rgtchtiger 7/16/2008 7:41:34 PM
hanso, I think the words you're looking for to describe the greatness that will be The Dark Knight would be something along the lines of "filthnasty" or "ridonculous." :-) All I know is that 24 hours from now I will be in line for the midnight show and CANNOT F-ING WAIT. I also think hearing the Terminator beats in full-blast audio will kick some supreme ass.

Bout what I expected...looked like a bad rap video remix and with the rappers in it I'm surprised they didn't break out a song for it. If you guys pause the very ending you can see the Terminators doing a matrix yelling "Angel Power!"
evilbeagle 7/16/2008 8:02:37 PM
Trailer was good. I'm a bit more excited that I was, but that's not saying much.
