The first teaser trailer for Warner Premiere's upcoming sequel Lost Boys: The Tribe has premiered online courtesy of MTV. The upcoming sequel to the 1987 cult classic will star Corey Feldman, Jamison New Lander, Angus Sutherland, Tad Hilgenbrink, Autumn Reeser, Tom Savini, Moneca Delain, Gabrielle Rose and Corey Haim. P.J Pesce handled the directing, based on a screenplay penned by Hans Rodionoff.

You can watch the trailer here.

Plot Summary: The sequel is set in the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson and his younger sister, Nicole. Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the locals' way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gang's lifeline before his sister's transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman). Subtle references to characters from the original film, and cameos from returning actors offer homage to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom.

Lost Boys: The Tribe will hit DVD in July 2008.

Oh and then I accidentally watched the Lost Boys 2 trailer---WOW WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT!!

It states the first as a cult classic? Not really unless your cult is Dawson's Creek's audience. Feldman is trying to force himself to do this for a paycheck. Man I thought Covenant looked bad but this is just sickening. Can someone spray my eyes with a bloody stool sample to make my eyes feel better.

wow that looks terrible, feldman tries to come off as a badass but that'll never happen.

I thought it was kind of funny in a cool way. If thats the vibe they are going for, it could work. The first one was cool in the action/humor kind of way. This could be fun.

I have to agree with Sony and Azul, shit it is... That looks like the first one rehashed but with out some of the main characters that the first one had in it...I thought the first one was more cult than classic being a cult full of idiots loved it and classic in the way that it belongs in a class of other shitty movies like Battle field Earth and the Whole Chucky series, I guess it's not that bad but deffenitley not a cult classic...To be honest I probably will watch this new one while channel surfing and accidently come across it, even then there will have to be a lot of other shitty movies on in order for me to actually stop and waste my time on it...

//"Now we're really gonna raise the STAKES..."//

Brilliant.

You haterz just don't understand the subtleties of the Feld-Man.

This will stand proudly on my DVD case next to "Road House 2", and other movies I have shoplifted.

Jamesdalton...I regress and see your point lol but I do have to point out, you left out Carpool starring Thomas Arnold out of your dvd mentions and that suprises me considering it's your all time favorite...Wait a minute, were you not the one who wrote Carpool?

The difference is, Tom Arnold needs my/yours/anbody's money.

Badly.

I'm thinking this might give Highlander: The Source a run for it's money.
