Plot Summary: The characters of C.S. Lewis's timeless fantasy come to life once again in this newest installment of the "Chronicles of Narnia" series, in which the Pevensie siblings are magically transported back from England to the world of Narnia, where a thrilling, perilous new adventure and an even greater test of their faith and courage awaits them.

One year after the incredible events of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe," the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence, the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct, Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy.

The four children will soon meet an intriguing new character: Narnia's rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him in order to place his own newborn son on the throne. With the help of the kindly dwarf, a courageous talking mouse named Reepicheep, a badger named Trufflehunter and a Black Dwarf, Nikabrik, the Narnians, led by the mighty knights Peter and Caspian, embark on a remarkable journey to find Aslan, rescue Narnia from Miraz's tyrannical hold, and restore magic and glory to the land.

Directed once again by veteran director Andrew Adamson, screenplay by Andrew Adamson and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and produced by Mark Johnson, Andrew Adamson and Philip Steuer, the film reunites the original cast and creative team behind the blockbuster first film in the series.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN will hit theaters May 16, 2008.

Looks very cool. I thought the first one was a little slow, but most origin/first movies tend to be. It looks like Lord of the Rings for kids. Awesome.

Looks really good. I must admit I wasn't that taken with the first, but that's because at the time I was still comparing everything in this genre to LOTR. Which is pretty difficult to measure up to. Now that so much time has passed I think I'll enjoy this a little more now.

Huh, Rightful heir? What do they mean by that? Where has he been for 1300 years that he hasnt been ruling? I thought the kids were suppose to rule? They abandoned the people and went back home? I thought they were made kings and Queens for different areas of narnia or was it princes' and princes? I guess I have to watch the movie again ::Sigh:: No wait never mind. If I just wait I'm sure that some Narnia Fan would write in this section and set me straight, with "Actual Fact" then I can rejoice and not have to watch the movie again yaaaay.

They were made kings and queens of four distinct areas (just re-watched the movie the other day); but as adults discovered the lamp post and the 'otheroom', went through it, and returned to the present time, unchanged and unaged. My guess is a power vaccum was created and others took the thrones. Over 1300 years perhaps everything became one throne, and this Caspian person is the rightful heir... perhaps a decendant (maybe one of them had a child?). I imagine the books explain it all...

Awesome.... the first was amazing, the second looks to repeat the fun...

The books don't explain anything about power descendency. They're not adult fantasy. In the first book, the Pevensie children seemed to be the only humans in Narnia. Then, in the 1300 years since they were first there, somehow Narnia became populated by humans. I really don't think that CS Lewis meant that the virginal and chaste Pevensie siblings had children with each other or anyone else. Personally, I can't wait for The Silver Chair, my favorite of the Narnia books.

The movie looks great. The kids have sure grown since the last one.
