I love it, a black guy playing Perry WHITE, freaking genius.
And there won't be any great cesear ghosts comments in a Nolan produced film. I have a feeling they are finally going to nail a sups movie correctly.

LOL Monmkeyfoot!
Larry Fishbourne is a great actor, he will be a great Perry White.
Also since we're cracking wise here, it reminds me of an old joke by an African-American comedian named Steve White. "what's his middle name, Ain't?"
Yo I like it. Its a fictional newspaper editor not some historical figure that we all know is of the caucasion persuasion like JFK or something.
Now of course if White ask Clark if he chooses the blue pill or the red... then I could see a problem.
thats sad, the first PC casting. im very dissapointed. i dont understand changing the race of 70 plus year old characters, it makes no sense to me
Wow, Even tho they're all secondary characters, this is one of the craziest casts of all time
Not a knock on anyone here but the fact that we are discussing it as "oh it's okay they gave the role to a black guy" just says we still have a long long way to go. Why can't we just look at his as an actor? And why the hell is it "PC casting". Its like saying he got the role due to affirmative action. Casting a black guy as Perry White is doing any of us "black people" a favor. Fishburne got the role because he is a good veteran actor just like Frank Langella. His race shouldn't have a goddamn thing to do with it.
I agree Violator this cast is high caliber. Not sure why someone would think there is only two good actors in this. It's top notch and I hope that's a great sign for a great movie.
so does this mean perry white will die within the first 15 mins of the movie?
I think it's a great choice and personally I actually hope that they do reimagine Perry White for the film as well as other characters. I want Nolan/Snyder to distance this movie from the Donner/Singer/Smallivlle Superman as much as possible. With Fishburne I picture a Perry that doesn't necessarily yell but speaks in a very clear and authoritive tone, and combined with Larry's 'Don't F**k with me' stare will get his message accros to Lois, Jimmy, Clark and anybody else at the Planet that he's speaking to. To people who long for Lane Smith and Jackie Cooper, with the Donner films or Smallville!
