Nah, give me a live action film about the younger days of Han Solo, back when he first started as a smuggler and took the Falcon from Lando. And give me Jensen Ackles as Han Solo dammit. He's 6'1, same height as Ford and he practically plays Han every week on Supernatural. He's a lovable rogue as Dean. When the show Supernatural was first pitched to the network, the creator pitched the show as Luke and Han in a muscle car, travelling the country and fighting demons. He always considered the Impala as Dean's Millenium Falcon.

Now MAKE IT SO DISNEY!!! Jensen Ackles is a talented actor who deserves to be a much bigger star instead of languishing on network television. I don't know who to cast as Lando. That's hard since Billy Dee was so damn smooth.

no doubt we will all be there to watch this when it comes out. as for the original cast coming back again i think its cool, we all agae and move on, han had 3 kids with the princess , the youngest wich has the force and is stronger. so i wonder if any of this would be in the movie?

Cant wait to see who will play Kirk and Picard

I love Jensen Ackles, and your'e right, he does play the Han Solo of "Supernatural", but I just don't see him playing THE Han Solo...then again, I was pissed that Chris Pine didn't look anything like Shatner, but I still loved him as Kirk...guess it all comes down to how good the movie is.

Maybe hire WALL-E to play R2-D2?

And and and Rowan Atkinson can play a Gungan named Jar Jar Bean!

Wait! Better still! Give George Lucas a cameo about a Jedi has-been who wants to become a film director...

I really don't need a back story for Han Solo.  They already hacked up Darth Vader's past.

Take a brief look online and see if you REALLY want to see the "old" gang reunited.

InnerSanctum - I have taken a look. The most recent pics of them are not as bad as everyone seems to say. Look at Fishers own website. She is clean and sober now. Her worst pics were from when she was a full blown alcoholic. Ford looks fine as for how old he is. They are even doing one last Indy movie. Hamill also looks ok. I don't know what everyone's issue is

Christopher Lee was 76-77 when the filmed Episode 2 and 79 when it came out. So that is ok for that to happen but it is not ok for the original stars to come back at their current ages? That makes zero sense.

@death4sale 2 - They are making the adventures of young Han Solo the movie. I still want Garret Hedlund from TRON Legacy to be young Han.

They are also making the Boba Fett movie too. My guess if that more movies are also coming. Anyone up for some Old Republic action? That is my hope.

That or a Darth Bane trilogy.

Fisher was just on TV not long ago.  Yeah, she looks pretty bad.  Clean and sober doesn't give you back the years that you wasted.  Just Google Fisher and Rosanne Barr roast.

To me, there are a million stories to be told in the SW universe...to just use the original cast to create interest is milking a dry cow.  It is unimaginative.  Not saying there is anything wrong with growing old, but Christopher Lee was not playing iconic characters from when he was young.  I thought it was pretty silly to see an old Indy not even suffer from arthritus, let along jump from this thing to that thing without even flinching. His character actually showed a hint of pain in the original.  I'm not sure if they are going for cameos or action, but I'd prefer to just see a new saga.  Create a new "Han Solo" for the next generation.  A cool factor that was missing from episodes 1 - 3.

To tell a back story to a character that doesn't need it will equal dissapointment.  I don't want to see how Han Solo become a pirate.  They told/showed you everything you need to know in the original trilogy.  Did you get a back story for the "man with no name" in the Clint Eastwood films?  No.  It just made him cooler.  It was left to your imagination.  Trust me, sometimes that is best.
