Everyone of us who was interested in Brad Pitt’s zombie movie knew of the trial and tribulations of World War Z. Despite the film making over half-a-billion dollars, director Marc Foster will not be director the sequel. Collider is reporting that:
“There was no explicit reason given for Forster’s departure, but perhaps the director did not want a repeat of the behind-the-scenes tribulations he experienced during the first film”.
Brad Pitt told The Hollywood Reporter latest update on the film: “We are talking about it … We are going to investigate a script. We have a lot of ideas we will cull from. Nobody is writing just yet, but we are compiling our ideas.”
This isn’t surprising after all that transpired int he making of the film. Max Brooks’ original novel, “World War Z”, had a lot of great ideas unto which a sequel could be spun. What do you think Maniacs, do we need a sequel to World War Z? Who would you want to direct the sequel?
