Here's a pretty good overview of a lot of the films coming out this summer. I'm looking forward to most, hopefully this will be a good summer!

Pirates of the Caribean 2 and X-men looks like they will be pretty good to see. I also kind of want to watch 'Click' with Adam Sandler...that's a maybe.

Click has the potential to be good, but the preview has pretty much said it all. Just watch it instead.

Most of those movies look pretty stupid and not worth seeing. Da Vinci code should be good, as well as the blockbuster Superhero flicks.

Religious are you? Well it's a STORY. Well... so's the Bible...

Lets not get into it.

I am really looking forward to Xmen 3. Not so much Superman, though I'll probably see that also.

Looking through the article, there's a couple others that look decent.

My Super Exgirlfriend looks like it might be funny. Cars really didn't grab me initially, but the latest trailer looks better. And I may need to see The Breakup just for the scene when Jenifer Aniston walks down the hallway nude. :eyebrow:

I have no desire to see Davinci, Poseiden, or Miami Vice. I am a little interested in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

I'm looking forward to X3, Supes, Miami Vice, Snakes On A Plane, Clerks II and POTC: DMC and that's it for the rest of the year as far as I can tell.

Well, if you look over in the X-men forum, you'll find that I left an little present for everyone.

Personally I think believing in a God is more reasonable and makes more sense. And movies like Da Vinci Code are offensive.

I personally think MI3 and the money Tom Cruise is making to star in it to be a lot more offensive than the Da Vinci Code, which was a good book.

Tom Cruise = whackjob. Tom Hanks = great all around person and actor.

Cruise has been in some great movies but he's just too absurd these days that now its hard to take his acting seriously.

Thats a decent clip. I hope this new director does a decent job with this movie, his resume of "rush hour" is less than thrilling.

But all the trailers so far make it look like a very promising movie, so I'm excited

Lots to look forward to. Must admit, however, don't care about the DaVinci Code. Just don't. Am I alone?

For me, DaVinci Code = Straight to Video. I haven't seen Hanks in a movie since Road to Perdition, mostly due to my being tired of him.

I have zero interest in DaVinci Code. And M:i:III. Neither one looks particularly compelling.

1. Superman... Could be great or it could be a stinker.
2. X-men 3... Very interested to see this.
3. Miami Vice... I liked Dukes of hazzard so imagine my interest when they make a movie about a show that was actually good.
4. M:I 3... Don't like Tom Cruise the person, Tom Cruise the actor is better.
5. DaVinci Code... Great book, hopefully the movie's as great.
6. Snakes on a plane... title says it all
7. The Omen... Little demon kid wrecking havoc whats not to love
8. Break Up... Should be very funny
9. Click... Gotta see Sandler
10. Pirates of the Caribbean 2... First one was great so im hoping this lives up to it.

Just my thoughts...

There is one small part of me that wants to see M:i:III (the part that recognizes PSH's incredible acting talent and has always thought he would make a good villain), but it so overwhelmed by the complete lack of appeal the rest of the movie has to me that I still have no desire to see this movie.

I TOTALLY agree. The only fact that this flick has a real actor in it
makes me want to see it. And, to be honest, I'd be rooting for him
throughout the film. :smirk:

I am SO happy that I am not the only one who doesn't care a whole lot about The DaVinci Code... :D

Let me be clear. I'm not offended by the concept. I think that religion is a legitimate topic for fictional musing. Heck, what do you think Dante's Inferno's all about?

I'm just utterly underwhelmed by the author, by this production, by the concept. And the hype machine kills what's left.

There are alot of films I'm interested in this summer. Some of the biggies, especially Superman. And some of the small ones, like that Tim Allen super flick.

Did anyone see the 60 Minutes last week? They had a piece on how the whole concept was b.s. and invented by a guy to make money.:jump2:

Scholars have been debating some of the issues expressed in the Da Vinci Code for decades. Did Dan Brown exploit those issue for a profit, yes he did. Did he get a lot of historical facts wrong, yes he did.

The novel is fiction.

However, like I said, the ideas expressed in it have been around for a long time and weren't invented by "one guy."

I wasn't referring to Brown.

You better not be dissing Dante. :smirks:

Given a long enough period of time, any fictional written work can be looked at as being true.

It worked for Atlantis, the Necronomicon, and the Bible.

Clerks 2. Seen the trailer? I'm SO there.

Hey, it's a collection of childrens stories and fables. The old testament anyway.
The only thing that makes parts of the Bible belivable in my mind is that they agree with the Torah and the Koran.

I find Atlantis more belivable in most cases, well some parts of it.

I'm going to see American Dreamz tomorrow... supposedly it's stupid.

Probably will go to MI:III in June after school's done.

Just saw the new trailer for Miami Vice. Holy crap on a cracker, this movie is going to suck so bad, it might inadvertently cause a black hole that will destroy all of humanity.

I dunno. I saw the trailer for that too. Collin Farrell's handlebar moustache
was laughable, but the rest seemed pretty cool. One of the few 80's tv shows
I miss. But for me, once Sonny Crockett's car blew up, the episodes went
down hill from there. :ohwell:

I don't know, I am a HUGE fan of the tv series, and I don't get a single vibe of it from these trailers. It looks like a basic generic cop buddy picture. Where's the pastels, the hedonistic 80s drug culture, for god's sake, where's Phil Collins at????? :ohwell:

It's too bad that they didn't go with a more comedic approach. That would've been more fun. A serious action version of a cheesy 80's show is not very interesting.

Oh, you mean Jim Bakker? Catholic Church fairs? Bingo?
