Hopefully if Venom is in the movie he'll looks something like this, great job.

The inspiration came from the Spider Web section of the boards; someone made a comment on the advance Spidey poster 'what if he lifted his head up and it was Venom, not Spidey" or something to that effect.

I'm sure if I didn't attempt it, someone would down the line. But I also think others might have used old standbys such as the 'Alien' jaws or perhaps the creature from a little seen SF film w/ Rutger Hauer called 'Split Second' (1992); I wanted to do something different, like give Venom a whole new jaw.

I considered (also in that thread) that if Venom would not be a slimmer version, then he should appear more Spider-like. I thought about giving him actual spider fangs. It worked better than I thought it would. I also made the fangs looks like claws as well; in the comics, his fingertips always suggested claws, but you never really saw them.

In case anyone wondered here are some "factoids"

* The fangs used for the manip are that of a Sydney Funnel-web Spider, which is venomous. Here you can find the original pichttp://www.museum.vic.gov.au/bugs/image.aspx?ID=30 if you want to see Spider fangs up close.

*This is the second time anything I have done has made Front Page. In fact, I never thought this would make Front Page. And there are some really good efforts in todays UIR.
