am i judging the potential of glover, or the potential of your artwork and this scene?
glovers potential....that's a good one. don't know why he's someone so many people have latched on too....i just dont see him in the role, or any major film release that doesn't involve a delorean.
judge the potential of the work....are you kidding? why not submit a blank white slate, and judge it's potential. sorry, i only judge what i see. and it is what it is....a recolor. kudos on adding a background.
"D"...You are an artist, that's no doubt after viewing your artwork file. But I never had any respect for anyone who has your talent...takes it for granted...and looks down at others who "don't stand in your shadow." This is a great forum so I already feel a little bad at submitting this comment, but I read "reviews" you've given others so I guess I don't feel too bad. I am the first to admit that I have no talent, but I DO have the desire. If you can only imagine a DeLorean when you see Glover, then I don't understand how you can have your talent with such little imagination.
I apologize to all other artists as I do not wish use this forum to have a "Battle of wits" because I would obviously be an unarmed participant. Please keep up your work because you ARE very good.

i knew i should have edited that post.
i just don't see glover as joker....doesn't mean 500 other people don't. that's my opinion and i stick to it.
if you feel i'm looking down at you, then i am truly sorry i have made you feel that way. i offer an apology for my smug remarks, they were uncalled for....i should have just asked the question at the beginning of my post (i still would have ripped glover.....just how i feel about him).
artistically the image is what it is....it's a recolor....but it just doesnt blow my socks off, very few joker manips do. it lacks a homicidal maniac feel, sure having a creepy guy in a pic helps...but other elements can help set that mood, that really seperate your image from the crowd of joker pics. don't only think of the model as the focus....set a mood, a tone, and bingo....your on another level as an artist. even if this is just a hobby, i think you will find a personal reward when you surprise yourself.
don't worry about besting me in a battle of wits....my girlfriend constantly calls me mentally challenged, she agrees you would likely win.
again, my apologies....i realize now that my remarks were harsh and i could have been more professional in commenting on your work.

"D," apology accepted and respect restored (if that means a hoot)...not because you apologized, but your follow up comments expounded on your initial message and cleared a misunderstanding on my part. That's the thing about the written word; it can be powerful and/ or misunderstood due to the lack of being able to read facial expressions, hear intonations, etc.
Anyway, I hear you on Glover, and most of the others, in regards to not doing anything for you, but like the written word, the pictures/ manips don't do the actor's "ability" justice. I just feel Glover as the Joker on screen will do all the talking. If you don't see that...I respect that.
I am too much of a part-time recreational "artist" to put in the time to submit a good quality piece which is also limited by my "PhotoSuite 4" program I have yet to up-grade.
Again thanks (for sticking to your opinion) and clearing up a misreading on my part, as I CAN take criticism.

As Jokers go around here, this one aint so bad. Grab yourself a real program IAM and I think you could develop this image more effectively. When I first saw this I thought it one of the better of the group artists working at this skill level. You at least chose an image with some inherit menace.
If you really want to gauge Glover's potential don't go by Back to the Future, check out one of his early movies called The River's Edge.
Thanks...what kind of "real program" do you suggest. Problem is, like I said, I am a part-time recreational "artist" so budget is going to affect my ability to "up-grade." My (very) part-time hobbie isn't high on my "justification spending" list. I'll have to check out The River's Edge, because all I remember is Bacon and Streep. Thanks again.

I was referring to Photoshop, but if you can't find it at discount pricing I hear that Paintshop Pro is an inexpensive alternative. Of course there is always Gimp. You can get Gimp for free at www.Gimp.org
