Hoookay, you asked for it.... first, IMO, this doesn't really feel like a Joker pic to me.... Joker with a knit sweater over a tee shirt??? :? The whole base image seems wrong to convey the personality of the character in spite of Bettany being a favorite choice of most. That said, I think you have excellent graphic skills, your coloring is masterful and the slight water color effect sublime. I like the way you did hair and eyebrows too. I hope we'll see more of your stuff. I think you're very good but need to find some better base images. :)

Warning: I am mean.
The sweater is all wrong. The facial expression is, well, not the Joker's facial expression. I like the dirty, messy feel. Unlike Le Pijon, I think the base pic might have a lot of potential. But you'd have to eradicate everything but the face and hands in a shadow, hint at the Joker's costume below, melt the face into an appropriate grin...and in short, take more than 20 minutes.

ok guys, i didnt take the picture. i just wanted a reference of what paul bettany might look like as the joker. the sweater was supposed to look like an old school prison work sweater though... and the look... well, thats kinda the point. paul bettany just isnt that frightening in that psychotic way... hes more like hannibal lecter or somthing... the vincent kassel one with the gun is my personal choice for joker... but it hasnt been posted yet. i submitted it last week though so.... soon i hope
