From the start of Wednesday till Sunday Superman returns made a paltry 85 million, compared to Spiderman 2 of 2004 during July 4th weekend which made 154 million just who is America's superhero?

I remember seeing on Access Hollywood that Spacey said he was signed for 2nd and 3rd film, given the fact that lex Luthor is the absolutely most boring villain ever in comparison to his antithesis Superman, I cant really see people jumping all over a sequel.

The press is trying to compare the box office of Superman to that of Batman Begins which in my humble opinion was a superior film in every aspect.I just wonder who really wants to see a sequel to the most mediocre of superhero films. Im dying to see the sequel to Batman Begins, I was actually talking more about the Spiderman 3 trailer after seeing SR. I'm really not to keen on a sequel and hope that Superman truly dies for good.

p.s. Superman needs to stay the F@#k out of Gotham, that's Bat country.

I expected a bigger opening but then I didn't expect the film to be so good. But I've given up trying to figure out the box office.

There's already another thread for the discussion of SR's box office and/or the ramifications thereof here (http://comics2film.com/BB2/viewtopic.php?t=6375), please use it. I'm locking this one.
