I just wanted to introduce myself. Depending on how often you browse Cinescapes main site, you may have noticed that the news articles now had a name attached to them.
That name is me! :dunno:
Anywho, thought I would pop in and say hi to those of you who lurk down here. :D
Well, hello! Welcome to the boards, feel free to lurk.

Wow. You come down to touch the great unwashed. Well, at least me. It made me feel all warm and tingly down there.
Welcome, Karl. It's nice to see a name other than "News Editor" attached to the articles again.

Welcome to the boards. You will learn to trust us and we will become your conscience.
You are getting sleepy . . . your eyes are very tired . . . you must close them . . . you like chicken . . . you like them a lot . . . you wish you were one . . . you envy their feathers and their clucking . . . you will wake up when I snap my fingers, and when you do, you will have a craving for a bucket of the Colonel's original recipe chicken, but you want all drumsticks and thighs . . . you will eat them but suddenly develop feelings of guilt and never be able to eat chicken again . . . :)

Welcome to the cesspool, Karl! You'll learn to be disgusted by us in time. That or you'll become numb to the perverseness around here and, in some strange way, might come to enjoy it.

Hah!
I hope I didn't offend to many people with my er ... Lost article in which I ... er ... let a spoiler slip.
I personally thought it was hilarious. I laughed. I giggled. I cried.
On another note ... I have the oddest urge to sit down and watch Saving Ryans Privates with a big bucket of KFC. If you will all excuse me ....

Of course I am cool, what kind of question is that?! I go to the movies, alone, every weekend. My grandma takes me for a haircut every other week, she pays. I don't reguarly shower. I own a bucket hat. Need I go on?
I think I have proved myself.

Karl, I could love you, man. Ya know, if you buy me enough drinks.
Or a drink.
Or just acknowledge me.
Guess I need to go read your lost articles now. You're giving out spoilery goodness. My sister will also love you -- but we don't do that shit at the same time. That's just icky. Seriuosly....eesh.

Wow. I was born in Pgh. Homestead, actually. Still have relatives around there. Want to get back up to take the kids to Kennywood -- Frederick, MD ain't that far.

Why not?
That's the only way you'll ever experience the Wonders of the Great Crabs. :D

Kennywood, I actually just bought a ticket to that park. $18 for a day at Kennywood and a day at Sandcastle.
Not to shabby.

Welcome to the Thunderdome....I suggest ordering the soup, if Jakester asks you if you would like any tube steak politely decline and run....run as FAR as your legs can take you.

Socko, just remember that sock puppets don't run too well by themselves.
Karl, I used to go to Kennywood when I was a little pervert, way back in the 70s. I totally dug Noah's Ark (it's still there, isn't it?) and the train. Oh, and looking up chick's skirts. Good times.

Jake,
It's still there but drastically changed.
The whale entrance is gone. They also have an elevator in it.....well it's made to feel like an elevator, but it doesn't go anywhere.

If Jake can't make it, I can be a stand in. I only live in the outskirts of Irwin.

That's right. I forgot you were just outside of Pgh, Speedy. How could they get rid of the whale entrance?! Do they still have the vibrating floor? I loved that as a kid. Effers.

They just re-modled it, it is still there ... new and improved.
Kennywood actually has a lot of new rides, I plan on going back sometime late May or Early June.

Yeah, it's still there. They also tore down and rebuilt the Steel Phantom, now called the Phantom's Revenge. It doesn't give you whiplash, now. They have a Free Fall ride called Pittfall, a new ride called Swingshot

(named by a winner of a contest in which I suggested PITtsburgh Pendulum.)
They redid the Enterprise and named it Volcano, opting for a Hawaiian theme along with a Gondola type ride called King Kahuna that sprays water at you when you are on the upswing.
