WHAT??!! Bats with a gun??!! It's sacrilege, I tells ya! I like the scene, composition and poses but IMO, the lighting seems wrong. I think it might look better if the main room were dimly lit with a soft light coming from the two surrounding rooms, Bat's torch as a light source and a really subtle light on the two figures in the coffin. What is the red shape in front of the Monk? Is that part of his robe?

I suppose you'll be telling me a load of non-sense about Detective Comics #32 being written out of continuity next. What's wrong with Batman using a silver bullets on someone who's already dead? That's how the story was written.

Relax, buddy... I was just making another of my many dumb and failed attempts at humor. Sorry if I've offended. I am familiar with the story and even if I weren't, I would trust your encyclopedic knowledge of the subject matter anyway. Believe me, Has I trust your judgement in these matters far more than I ever would DC's sense of continuity.

Your Batman is great. That style of costume is classic. Without being aware of the story, I was also taken aback by the gun, but the explanation makes sense. The hesitation to use a gun adds an interesting layer to the mythos, but practically Batman employs every skill, technique and object at his command, many of which can be deadly. It is only the caveat that he has resolved killing to be a last resort that ultimately makes sense to the character.
