Not too surprising, but still -- holy crap:

Jack tells Karen that he has the recording and that he need Curtis and a team to protect him from Henderson’s men when he lands.

Curtis tells Audrey that her father is alive and he is expected to make it.

Graham and his men find a way to simulate a distress signal from the plane that requires an F-18 fighter jet to shoot the plane down. Logan gives the order.

The military calls Logan about the distress code. Logan acts surprised. Logan gives the approval for the plane to be shot down.

Jack gets a call from Karen saying the F-18 is on the way to shoot them down. Jack decides to take matters into his own hands. CTU begins to look for an open straight freeway to land on.

Chloe made her way back to CTU and is tracking the F-18 to see how much time Jack has. They intend to land on the 118 freeway.

They start to make the plane descend fast because the F-18 is closing in quickly. The military are now concerned because the plane is too low and they can't fire. Logan is pissed because he knew the missile was his last chance. The plane touches down and stops just in time.

Bierko wakes up and is being moved to district headquarters where he will be in a holding facility. Karen finally tells Miles what is going on, who thinks Karen is crazy and that they are putting their careers on the line for this recording.

On the drive to headquarters, Bierko nods his head at the driver.

Logan knows it’s only a matter of time before Jack gets the recording to CTU and takes out his gun. Graham agrees that its time for Logan to end this. Logan prepares to kill himself but his phone rings. It’s Miles who tells Logan he wants to help. Miles will do anything to advance his career.

At CTU Miles goes into the room where Chole is working on the recording. He angles himself so Chloe can’t see what he is doing. Miles points a laser at the recording.

I new Miles was a piece of crap!!!!

I hope Jack kills that bastard! Or maybe Chloe will do it~

Figured Heller would still be alive!

You're new, so I'm excusing this. Any spoilers that you're giving before the episode MUST be coded like Jake always does. Otherwise, those of us who try to stay spoiler free (like ME) will accidentally read things we don't want to see (like THIS)

Don't do it again.

btw, the codes to use are

(take out the spaces before the end bracket).

ps. Adam, you're my hero! I'm still spoiler-free, thanx to you. :hugs:

You know what would be fun...if we had UN-spoiler tags....okay, maybe it's not quite as funny as it sounded in my head.

So, I'll be the one to say it this week, since I cut 'em slack the previous two...

They STILL didn't make a copy of that fuckin' recording?????

Solid episode and all. Loved the Logan/Lady Logan stuff, but really....

STILL no copy of the recording???? how. the. hell.

Miles is an ass who will almost certainly die for this.

But jesus, you get what you deserve.

This whole stupidity about not copying the recording is starting to really annoy me, which in turn lessens my enjoyment of the show. Jack gets in the car with Curtis, and still doesn't copy the recording? He gets back to CTU, and doesn't at least PLAY the recording for Karen, so she can say she's heard the evidence? It would take what, 15 seconds? How STUPID can they all be?

Not to mention the whole thing where Bierko escapes CTU because he has a guy planted in the transfer vehicle. What, were there not enough holding cells in CTU-LA? There isn't enough of a mess going on that they have to transfer the guy in the middle of it? Why didn't they question him first?

Honestly, I thought the first half of the season was the best yet, but with these last couple of hours the writers are really letting things slip. When people act totally stupid just to advance the plot, it ticks me off. I'm really disappointed that Logan didn't end up offing himself in this episode, because that would have been a completely weird twist that would set up next season with Jack investigating this weird cabal. (And they may still set that up for next season, it would just be harder and twistier with Logan dead.)

On the other hand, anyone else think they should just award the supporting actor Emmy to Gregory Itzin (Logan) right now? He's done a fantastic job making Logan multifaceted yet believable.

I agree. Just a fantastic job.

Wow, from suicide to election to a full term in the time it took to swig some scotch. Nice. I mean, in the public eye, Logan has been the best president since Washington! I say, bring him back next year and let Miles run CTU. Nice....nice and evil...

I wish Chloe would bitch slap Miles. He is such a prissy boy. However, I'm sure there are dozens like him in the real world.

Yeah, I saw this coming with Miles... About two weeks ago somebody mentioned the fact of copying the tape and ever since then every episode I watch without them getting a copy is pissing me off more and more. It's amazing how a little alcohol can help your day... Next week should be interesting...

BTW, How many "Hours" does Jack have left now?

BTW, How many "Hours" does Jack have left now?

The day started at 7 am, so that's only three hours left ... I'm guessing one hour next week, and then a special two-hour finale in two weeks.

I'm right: one-hour tonight--delayed until 9:20 because of the President's address--then the two-hour finale next week.
